Al Shamal and Qatar SC will face off in Week 20 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League at the Al Bayt Stadium on Saturday, April 6, 2024. The kick-off is at 9.30pm.

Both sides will go into the clash seeking the three valuable points as Al Shamal are currently in the seventh place in the rankings with 21 points and aim to advance following their important 2-1 win over Al Ahli in the previous round.

Qatar SC, who are in 10th spot with 16 points, are eagerly looking to stay away from the relegation zone and avoid a situation of entering into complex calculations.

Al Shamal are coming from a victory that has helped them strengthen their position in the standings and which also makes them go into this match with a strong morale. Their win in the last round also makes them hold an advantage.

Al Shamal coach Poya Asbhagi is fully aware of the opposite team’s aim, given the small margin of points between the teams and will be relying on his distinguished players, namely Mahdi Salem, Ricardo Gomes, Hamad Mansour, Jeison Murillo, Mohammed Omar and Matias Nani, to achieve the goal.

As for Qatar SC, they have a tough task and with calculations different from any other match after having fallen to tenth place with a major loss in the last round to Al Wakrah. The Kings would therefore focus on playing with a high concentration and calmness to clinch a win and to take their tally to 19 points.
