Al Ahli face Al Rayyan in Week 10 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League at the Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium of Al Ahli club on Saturday, December 2, 2023. The kick-off is at 7.30pm.

In what should be an exciting affair, both sides will look to score a win and gain the three points and go up on the rankings table. The strong contest would provide for a challenging game and both teams would push hard to gain a positive result.

Al Ahli are currently in ninth position with nine points, the same as that of Al Arabi (seventh) and Al Shamal (eighth). The Brigadiers have so far achieved three wins and suffered six defeats, and are seeking to use the momentum gained from their recent positive result against Al Markhiya in quest of more match points.

In contrast, Al Rayyan are coming off a draw against Muaither in their last round  and are placed fifth in the table with 16 points – shared equally with Al Duhail who occupy the fourth spot.

A victory against Al Ahli will take Al Rayyan a step forward in competing with the teams vying to be in the top four.

Al Ahli coach Pedro Miguel will aim to find the most appropriate squad from his distinguished players to complete the task successfully in the match and to gain the valuable points.

Al Ahli are counting on a number of important players in their ranks in search of providing the best in this match, the most prominent of them being the attacking duo of Naim Al Sliti and Abdulrasheed Ibrahim, in addition to Oumar Sekou and Al Dokali Al Sayed among others.

Meanwhile, Al Rayyan’s coach Leonardo Jardim will need to find appropriate solutions for his team to return to distinguished levels given the decline in their results in recent matches and their move down from the top of the table.
