Al Ahli face Al Duhail in Round 2 (Group A) of the 2024-2025 season QSL Cup at the Al Khor Stadium on Saturday, September 7, 2024. The kick-off is at 8.30pm.

Besides Al Ahli and Al Duhail, Group A also includes Al Rayyan, Al Arabi, Qatar SC and Al Shahania.

Al Duhail are the current leaders in the group (tied with Al Rayyan and Al Arabi with three points each following wins achieved by each team in the opening round), while Qatar SC, Al Shahania and Al Ahli suffered reversals.

Al Duhail defeated Qatar SC 2-1, while Al Ahli were beaten 1-0 by Al Arabi.

The tournament is an opportunity for each team to advance, prepare and provide the players with a good chance to find form during the league championship break for the challenges ahead while competing to win the QSL Cup at the same time.

Al Duhail, under French coach Christophe Galtier, showed their keenness to push many of their players who were ready, whether foreign or local professionals, while achieving their opening win of the tournament and also try to execute tactical and technical plans.

On the other hand, Al Ahli, guided by Croat Igor Biscan, did their best in their opening game against Al Arabi, but were beaten in a strong and exciting match. They will surely look to log their first points.
