Qatar SC coach Yousef Al Noubi spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 2 match against Al Sadd.
“We prepared well for the match and look forward to appearing better compared to the previous match, in which we were not successful and lost. Al Sadd also lost their first match, and each of us look forward to making up for it by winning the next match, which increases the difficulty of the match.
“We hope that the team will come out in the way we wish, and we do not hide our dissatisfaction with the previous loss, which witnessed a shortage in the number of professionals and some injuries, but despite that, we do not want to talk about excuses. But we can say that success was absent in the last quarter of an hour of the match as we lost focus although we were good in the first 70 minutes or so, but in general, we closed the chapter of the first match and focused completely on our next match against Al Sadd.
“I urge our fans to continue supporting the team, especially since the league championship is still in its early stages and the team is capable of achieving good results in the upcoming matches,” said Al Noubi.
Qatar SC player Abdulrahman Al Karbi said, “Facing Al Sadd will be difficult for both teams.
“Each team will strive to compensate and achieve victory, and we hope to succeed in that despite the difficulty of facing Al Sadd, the league title holders, but we are ready for the match and have prepared in the appropriate manner for that match.
“The first loss against Al Duhail is not satisfactory for us, but we have turned that page and are thinking completely about the Al Sadd match, and we hope to appear in the required manner and come out with the positive result we are looking forward to.”
